Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo

Support the Junior League of Fort Worth by purchasing programs at the Rodeo--we're the ones sellin' em! Members of the Junior League of Fort Worth have been selling Rodeo programs since 1957. The legendary Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo offers visitors a chance to experience the unique western lifestyle along with a one-of-a-kind combination of history, tradition and Western Heritage. During the 24-day event, starting every year in mid-January, people from across the globe have the opportunity to enjoy commercial exhibits, livestock competitions, and five different types of rodeo performances.
The event kicks off with two nights of the Best of the West Rodeo--featuring teams of real working ranch hands competing for prize money & bragging rights in events that mirror their duties back on the ranch. To highlight the diversity of our western culture, two unique events follow with a Best of Mexico Celebracion and The Cowboys of Color Rodeo. Rounding out the special shows, are two nights custom-made for the adrenaline-rush seekers--dubbed Bull's Night Out, these performances match the toughest cowboys with the meanest bulls with a little rock & roll music thrown in the mix. For the more traditional rodeo fan, the PRCA Rodeo fills the rest of the schedule with morning, afternoon, and evening, weekday and weekend shows. Professional cowboys & cowgirls from around the country kick up their heels to compete for prize money in bull riding, bronco riding, steer wrestling, calf roping and barrel racing. Junior League of Fort Worth volunteers dedicate their time and talents selling programs at each of the 36 performances. In 2010, this Community Collaboration brought in over $17,000 for the Junior League's projects and programs.
Mark your calendars and come down to celebrate this Fort Worth tradition with us from January 14 - February 5, 2011 at the Will Rogers Coliseum.
