ABOUT THE NEW MEMBER PROCESS

The Junior League of Fort Worth (JLFW) is open to women who possess an interest in advancing women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Each year, we train new members (Provisionals) to be effective volunteers and leaders in our community. Provisionals complete a year-long training program, learning and experiencing the League structure and participating in community service.

We welcome women who value our mission to join us. The Junior League of Fort Worth (JLFW) calendar kicks off in June and runs through May of the following year. The online application to join will open on October 15, 2025. If you have questions, please email: join@juniorleaguefw.org.

MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

AGE

A candidate shall be no less than 22 years of age on January 1st preceding her invitation to Provisional membership.

RESIDENCY

There are no residency restrictions; however, the member must be able to travel to meeting locations in Fort Worth.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must complete specific volunteer requirements during their Provisional year (June through May 31). The commitment total is more than 80 hours.

FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS

The total financial obligation for Provisional Member equals $340:

$50 Application fee due upon submission

$150 Member dues due April 1, 2025

$140 Provisional course fee due May 1, 2025

Purchase 5 tickets at market price to Christmas in Cowtown due September 1, 2026. Provisional Member may resell these tickets to recoup the cost.

HOW TO JOIN

APPLICATION

Step One: Review the requirements and attend an upcoming information session (optional)

Step Two: Between October 15 and March 1, create a profile to begin and submit the application. You will need to identify a sponsor* and pay the $50 application fee. *If you are unable to find a sponsor, you may request assistance when completing your application and will be assigned one from the sponsor pool.

Step Three: Acceptance letters will be sent after January 15 (Early Applicants) or after March 15 (General Applicants) 

SPONSOR

You must submit one sponsor* (either a JLFW Active or Sustainer Member in good standing) with the application. JLFW Members are everywhere; search your circles—friends, co-workers, and connections from other organizations. You can engage with potential sponsors at the Information Sessions or Meet and Greet events.

ACCEPTANCE

You will be notified of acceptance decisions and next steps no later than January 15 (Early Applicants) or March 15 (General Applicants).

Save the date to meet the rest of your class at the Provisional Kick-Off on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 9am. This is an exciting event you won’t want to miss. Attendance is required.
